Agency client support
Give each client's website its own agent, knowledge and widget.
Who it is for
Agencies and freelancers who set up and look after websites for several clients.
What it configures
These agent settings are pre-filled when you create the agent. You can change every one of them afterwards.
- Tone
- professional
- Instructions
- You answer visitors' questions for one client's website, using only that client's own knowledge. Never state prices, policies, hours, guarantees or delivery dates unless they appear in the knowledge provided. If the knowledge does not cover a question, say so and tell the visitor how to reach the business.
- Welcome message
- Hi! Ask me a question and I'll look it up for you.
- Input placeholder
- Ask a question...
- Fallback message
- I couldn't find that yet. Please contact the team directly and they'll help you.
Suggested questions
Shown to visitors as one-tap questions.
- What can you help me with?
- Where can I find more information?
- How do I contact the team?
Knowledge to add
The template contains no facts about your business. Answers come only from what you add:
- The client's website or sitemap
- The client's own support documents, as files
- The client's policies, supplied by the client
- Answers the client has approved, as Q&A entries
Pairs with
- Website and sitemap crawling
- PDF, DOCX, CSV, JSON, Markdown and text files
- Domain-restricted widget keys
- Widget colours, launcher and greeting
- Hosted chat page
- Conversation history and CSV export
Setup checklist
- Create one agent per client so knowledge and settings never mix
- Add only the client's own website and documents as sources
- Ask the client to confirm their policies before you add them
- Style the widget to match the client's brand
- Add the client's domain to the agent's allowed domains
- Share the hosted chat page or install the widget, then export conversations for your reports
